Freiburg and Eintracht Frankfurt treated the world to a dull scoreless draw on Friday evening.
Freiburg and Eintracht Frankfurt conspired to bore the world with a scoreless 0-0 draw on Friday evening. In a match that had the potential to be outstanding, the two sides managed to play roughly twenty minutes of watchable soccer
Frankfurt thought they thought they scored in the first half, but Stefan Aigner was ruled offside. Bastian Oczipka's through-ball was perfect, but his forward couldn't stay onside. That was Frankfurt's one true quality attack on the day, and the spent the majority of the second half playing defense as Freiburg came after them on the attack. It took an hour for Freiburg to come close, but Stefano Celozzi cleared attempts by Jan Rosenthal and Matthias Ginter off the line.
Other than that, the match wasn't one that I would recommend you re-watch at a later date. If you watch this, you might find a little more entertainment. Really.
The point keeps Frankfurt in fourth place, three points behind third place Bayer Leverkusen who play tomorrow. Freiburg remain in fifth, three points behind Frankfurt.
