Bayern remain unbeaten on the road this year after a 1-0 victory away to Hoffenheim.
Bayern Munich beat Hoffenheim 1-0 on Saturday to extend their lead at the top of the Bundesliga to an insurmountable 17 points.
Hoffenheim had the first chance of the game for either side, but Danny Williams put his shot into the side netting, and from then on it was basically Bayern's game.
Jerome Boateng stripped Igor De Camargo of the ball and crossed the ball to Franck Ribery. The Frenchman headed the ball back into the middle of the box to Mario Gomez who calmly beat Heurelho Gomes for the first goal of the game.
Bayern rarely let Hoffenheim get a sniff of their goal after taking the lead, and Tom Starke denied Hoffenheim on their few chances. Starke got the start today against his old club giving Manuel Neuer a day off.
Bastian Schweinsteiger struck the crossbar on two excellent free kicks, but couldn't find the back of the net to double Bayern's lead.
While Bayern are now 17 points clear at the top of the Bundesliga, Hoffenheim now find themselves five points adrift of the promotion/relegation playoff spot held by Augsburg. It's going to be a tough road from here on out for Hoffenheim to avoid direct relegation.
