The Favorite: Baylor

Star freshman Isaiah Austin's ankle is still a question mark, but he Bears have been awfully impressive in their pair of opening romps. All three of BU's opponents are going to have a hard time keeping Pierre Jackson out of the lane, and Cory Jefferson is rapidly emerging as a much-needed double-double threat from the forward position.

The Challenger: Murray State

The Racers were the last team in Division-I to lose a game last season, a statement which might be true again if they're able to win three straight games this week. The season-long suspension of Zay Jackson is a blow, but that just means first team preseason All-American Isaiah Canaan is going to have to do more, a task he's fully capable of handling.

The Darkhorse: St. John's

The Johnnies have a tough opener against Charleston, but if they're able to get past the Cougars, they have the right blend of talent and size to give a team like Murray State fits. D'Angelo Harrison lit it up from the outside in the Red Storm's win over Detroit, while freshman Chris Obekpa set a school record for blocks in his first college game.

Best First Round Game: St. John's vs. College of Charleston

The Johnnies are young and talented, but Charleston is poised and experienced. How the Red Storm handles gifted COC guard Andrew Lawrence will be crucial.

Predicted Order of Finish:

8. Auburn
7. Dayton
6. St. John's
5. Boston College
4. College of Charleston
3. Colorado
2. Murray State
1. Baylor
