C.J. Leslie was the definition of unstoppable Saturday, making the Wolfpack's rematch against St. Bonaventure considerably less thrilling than last year's.
This season's rendition of St. Bonaventure vs. N.C. State wasn't nearly as exciting as last year's as the No. 25 Wolfpack dominated for essentially all 40 minutes to earn a 92-73 victory Saturday afternoon.
The Bonnies entered the game limiting three of their last four opponents to less than 40 percent shooting but the Wolfpack still managed to shoot a blistering 57.1 percent. Last year's buzzer-beating hero C.J. Leslie led the way with a career-high 33 points on 10-of-13 shooting along with eight rebounds and three blocks. Senior Scott Wood also chipped in a season-high 23 points and Lorenzo Brown added a season-high 11 assists.
Despite being a blowout throughout, NC State head coach Mark Gottfried elected to only use an eight-man rotation until about the two-minute mark with last year's barn burner still fresh in his mind.
Eric Mosley had a good game off the bench for the Bonnies with a team-high 18 points but St. Bonaventure's starting lineup killed them, combining for a field goal percentage of 33 percent.
The Wolfpack will now get a seven-day layoff before returning to their home court next Saturday for a game against Western Michigan.
