The Kansas State Wildcats got off to a quick start and were able to hold on Saturday night to upset the No. 8 Florida Gators 67-61.
The Wildcats ended the first half on a 7-1 run to head into the break with a 33-23 advantage. Florida was able to cut into the lead over the second period, tying the game up at one point, but couldn’t manage to avoid the upset.
Florida’s next game takes place a week from tonight when they welcome the Air Force Falcons. Kansas State will also take a break over the Christmas holiday, as their next game is Saturday against the UMKC Kangaroos.
