Led by 23 points from Seth Curry, No. 2 Duke went up to East Rutherford, New Jersey and put a beat down on overmatched Temple. Four of the five Duke starters scored at least 14 points and as the Blue Devils improved to 9-0 in a dominating performance before a blue-clad crowd.
Duke jumped out to a 46-32 halftime lead with simple, fundamental and poised play. They didn't do anything exceptional, but their error-free basketball overwhelmed Temple. They made simple passes that Temple had trouble moving with and made a point of locking down Khalif Wyatt, who was a dreadful 3-of-15 on the day. By the time it was all over, the Blue Devils were cruising to victory.
Duke has a measly six turnovers on the day, a testament to how in control they were. They also shot 12-of-20 from three-point range and 22-of-29 from the line. They weren't special or mind-blowing, just incredibly efficient as they stayed perfect on the season and handed Temple its first loss.
