No. 20 North Carolina vs. ETSU final score: Tar Heels cruise to 78-55 victory

Dominating on both ends of the court, the Tar Heels were fueled by a 34-2 run and held East Tennessee State to just 12 points in the first half.

North Carolina had no trouble defeating East Tennessee State, dropping the Buccaneers by a score of 78-55. The Tar Heels locked down defensively in the first half, when they allowed just 12 points.

The game was essentially over after a 34-2 run for North Carolina. For the game, East Tennessee State shot just 33.9 percent from the field.

Junior Leslie McDonald led North Carolina in scoring with 14 points. McDonald has played exceptionally well after scoring just 2 points against Indiana. He had 24 points in the team's win over UAB.

Freshman Brice Johnson continued his strong play with 12 points of his own.

After getting crushed by Indiana, the Tar Heels have now won two straight games. They defeated UAB 102-84 last Saturday.

North Carolina will be off until Dec. 15. When its resumes play, it will host East Carolina. The Tar Heels will enter that game with a 7-2 record.
