New Mexico had little trouble on Saturday as they improved to 15-2 on the season. Sophomore big man Alex Kirk had one of the more impressive performances of the day.

The New Mexico Lobos made quick work of the Fresno St. Bulldogs on Saturday afternoon, picking up a 72-45 win at University Arena in Albuquerque, N.M.

The Lobos used their size advantage all game long. New Mexico out-rebounded the Bulldogs, 42-21, and forced 18 turnovers. Despite going 2-for-12 from behind the three-point arc, UNM shot 49 percent from the field and held a 17-point lead at halftime.

Sophomore center Alex Kirk led the Lobos with 19 points, 14 rebounds and two blocks. Tony Snell and Cameron Bairstow both had 16 points.

Fresno State never really had much of a chance. Marvelle Harris led the way with 11 points, although he shot just 3-for-11 from the field. No other player reached double digits in scoring for the Bulldogs.

Next up for No. 25 New Mexico is a road trip to Boise State on Wednesday night. Tipoff is set for 9 p.m. ET. Fresno State will look to get back on track against Wyoming, which lost suffered its first loss of the season earlier this week.
