Hairston was taken off the court on a stretcher after being involved in a scary mid-air collision.
North Carolina Tar Heels guard P.J. Hairston suffered a concussion after being involved in a scary mid-air collision on Tuesday night.
With the Tar Heels taking on Boston College, Hairston collided with another player and immediately went to the floor. He was attended to by the UNC training staff and coach Roy Williams. Hairston eventually made his way to the bench, but appeared to be losing consciousness.

He was then taken off the court on a stretcher. North Carolina has announced that Hairston will not return to Tuesday's game. He will likely miss one more game, although the training staff will have to reevaluate him in the coming days. Hairston was able to return to the UNC bench early in the second half.
This season, Hairston is averaging 12.3 points and 4.1 rebounds per game. He had already wracked up 14 points and three assists at the time of his injury.
