USA TODAY Sports

The Tigers got a scare from Bucknell, who were one point away with four seconds to go.

The Missouri Tigers narrowly avoided entering SEC play in back-to-back losses, pulling out a narrow victory over the Bucknell Bison on Saturday.

The game was as close as 64-63 with four seconds remaining, but a Mike Muscala turnover led to a pair of free throws from Earnest Ross that put the game away for the Tigers.

Muscala put in another strong performance, but the turnover by the senior could not have come at a worse time. Muscala had 25 points, 14 rebounds, four assists and two blocks on the night.

Phil Pressey was again the man who made the difference for Missouri, picking up 26 points on 10-of-22 shooting, a nice follow-up to the 19 points and 19 assists he put up in Missouri's Friday loss to UCLA. Laurence Bowers added another 16 points for the Tigers, with eight rebounds as well.

Missouri is now 11-2 and begins SEC conference play on Tuesday with a home game against Alabama, while the 13-3 Bison open their Patriot League play with a game against Army on Saturday, Jan. 12.
