No. 13 Florida vs. Yale final score: Gators crush Bulldogs, 79-58

Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

The Gators were shot the ball well all night, and were easily able to move past Yale in a rare non-conference road game.

The Florida Gators made a rare road trip up to New Haven to take on the Yale Bulldogs on Sunday night, but had little trouble en route to a 79-58 win. The Gators shot the lights out all night, shooting 60 percent from the floor, and just under 53 percent from three point range. Florida was able to open up a 12 point lead by halftime, and kept their foot on the pedal through the second half.

Kenny Boynton led all scorers with 25 points on 8-11 shooting, and Will Yeguete had 14 points and nine rebounds. Mike Rosario chipped in with 13 points, and Scottie Wilbekin had four points and 10 rebounds.

Justin Sears led Yale with 15 points, and Javier Duren finished with 14 points. The Bulldogs struggled shooting the ball from long range, going only 3-of-13 from behind the stripe.

The Gators finally get into their SEC schedule on Wednesday, Jan. 9, when they host the Georgia Bulldogs.
