Billy Donovan has put together another one of his signature balanced rosters, as Florida improved to 9-2 with a 66-49 win over Fresno State Saturday. Casey Prather led all Gators with 14, but all eight players in Florida's rotation made significant contributions.
After a sluggish first half from both teams, the Gators turned it on behind Prather. Scottie Wilbekin finished with 11 points and six rebounds in his sixth game back from suspension. Senior forward Will Yeguette nearly notched a double-double, racking up nine points and 11 boards.
Other than 17 from Cezar Guerrero, the Bulldogs just couldn't put up points against a staunch Gator defense. The Bulldogs shot 32 percent from the field and were 4-18 from the three-point line. Florida was significantly better from the field, shooting 42 percent.
Florida will play their fourth and fifth straight home games to close out the non-conference season, hosting Savannah State and Richmond. The Gators will open SEC play at home as well, taking on South Carolina on Jan. 8.
