Louisville vs. UMKC final score: Cardinals dominate in blowout victory, 90-62

Jamie Rhodes-USA TODAY Sports

Louisville led from start to finish against an overmatched UMKC.

No. 7 Louisville won its second straight laugher Wednesday night, this time toppling UMKC, 90-62, at home.

With the win, Louisville improves to 7-1. UMKC falls to 1-6.

The Cardinals never trailed en route to their seventh victory of the season. They had five players score in double figures, but perhaps none was as dominant as Montrezl Harrell. His 14 points came on 7-of-11 shooting and he added seven rebounds for good measure.

Russ Smith (10 points, 11 assists) and Chane Behanan (11 points, 11 rebounds) each added double-doubles.

Nelson Kirksey and Martez Harrison each had 14 points to fuel the UMKC backcourt.

This was a game that Louisville dominated up and down the stat sheet. Aside from the scoring column, the Cardinals also out-rebounded the Kangaroos, 49-29, and forced 20 turnovers.

Louisville will continue a light stretch of home games on Saturday with a 1 p.m. ET matinee against Louisiana-Lafayette.
