The Bulldogs improved to 9-3 against the Atlantic 10 with a convincing win over Duquesne at home.

After winning 16 of their first 18 games, there was some cause for concern after the No. 15 Butler Bulldogs dropped three of their next eight. The Bulldogs got back on track against the Duquesne Dukes on Tuesday night, picking up the 68-49 win at Hinkle Fieldhouse.

Butler moved out to an early lead and never looked back, controlling the game for the full 40 minutes. They were up 14 by halftime, and if coach Brad Stevens didn't pull his starters late, the final outcome would've been even more lopsided.

Rotnei Clarke led the way with 16 points. Khyle Marshall added 14 points, while big man Andrew Smith had eight points and 10 rebounds.

As a team, the Bulldogs shot 45 percent from the field and went 10-for-21 on threes. They controlled the glass on both ends, out-rebounding Duquesne by eight.

Derrick Colter led the Dukes with 11 points. It was not a good night for Duquesne, who fell to 8-18 on the season.

Up next for Butler is a huge showdown with St. Louis on Friday night at 7 p.m. ET. SLU defeated Butler by 17 points last month.
