No. 20 New Mexico vs. Nevada final score: Lobos survive Mountain West clash, 75-62

Troy Babbitt-USA TODAY Sports

Ten players scored for New Mexico to counter a 20-point performance from Nevada's Malik Story, as the Lobos escaped with a 75-62 win Saturday night.

No. 20 New Mexico got offense from ten players en route to a 75-62 win over the Nevada Wolf Pack in Mountain West action Saturday night.

Hugh Greenwood led New Mexico with 15 points. Demetrius Walker had 12 and Chad Adams added 10 to account for the other two Lobos in double figures.

Neither team led by more than seven points through the first 35 minutes of a game that was close throughout. New Mexico led by two at halftime and took the lead for good on an Adams three with just under ten minutes remaining. That shot started a 10-3 run to give the Lobos control going into the closing minutes.

Malik Story eventually knocked down a triple to stop the New Mexico spurt, but it was too late. Story's game-high 20 points were not enough to stop a balanced New Mexico team. Deonte Burton chipped in with 13 points and seven assists in the loss.

New Mexico has now won six out of seven games and is in first in the Mountain West. The Lobos will next host Air Force on Wednesday night.
