The Hoyas made easy work of the Blue Demons at the Verizon Center to notch their 10th Big East Conference win of the season.
The No. 11 Georgetown Hoyas made easy work of DePaul Blue Demons Wednesday night at the Verizon Center in Washington, DC, beating one of the Big East's bottom-dwellers, 90-66.
The Hoyas led by 14 points at halftime and never looked back, blowing past the Blue Demons with 63.5 percent shooting, including 64.3 percent from three-point range. DePaul hauled in 17 offensive rebounds on the night but could not overcome a poor night of shooting, hitting just 39.1 percent of their attempts and a sub-par 18.8 percent from beyond the arc.
Four Georgetown players crossed the double-digit threshold, with D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera leading the charge with 33 points while going 10-of-12 from the field. Nate Lubick ended the night with two numbers in the points column at 15 points, while Jabril Trawick and Otto Porter, Jr. also hit double digits with 13 and 11 points.
Brandon Young had 16 points for the Blue Demons, with Jamee Crockett joining him in double digits at 10 points.
The Hoyas have a big game Saturday as they travel to New York to face the No. 8 Syracuse Orange, while the Blue Demons head home to face the Connecticut Huskies.
