The Golden Bears march into Eugene with one of the conference's best players looking to take down the Ducks.
Despite being ranked behind the No. 12 Arizona Wildcats, the No. 23 Oregon Ducks are on top of the Pac-12 Conference at 10-3 in league play. But they face one of just three teams within the conference to beat them on Thursday when the California Golden Bears hit the floor at Matthew Knight Arena.
The Ducks' number one priority will be containing the man likely to receive the conference's player of the year honors in Allen Crabbe. The junior guard from Los Angeles is averaging 19.8 points per contest this season and is dishing out 2.6 assists per game as well. He's doing it all while shooting 47.9 percent from the field and attempting the most field goals per game in the conference at 14.6. The Ducks will try to counter with their own outstanding forward, Arsalan Kazemi. The senior from Esfahan, Iran, is second in the conference in shooting at 60.7 percent while grabbing 9.6 rebounds per game.
A win for the Golden Bears will help keep them in the top half of the conference. The game gets under way at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN2.
