The man is capable of achieving the slam dunk. This much has been established.

When Ohio State's Sam Thompson was playing high school ball in Chicago, he earned the nickname "Air Thompson." This wouldn't be especially noteworthy, except the person who gave him the nickname was teammate Marcus Jordan...Michael's son.

Just how high Thompson can get up has been debated since he arrived at OSU, but Buckeye strength and conditioning coach Dave Richardson confirmed a report earlier this year that Thompson had recorded a 46-inch vertical leap.

Could that possibly be accurate? Thompson did his best to confirm during the first half of Sunday's game against Michigan State.
