The Hurricanes had Virginia Tech doubled up at half time as they waltzed to a win.
The No. 5 Miami Hurricanes didn't look hungover from their first conference loss on the year against Wake Forest on Saturday, as they cruised to a 76-58 win over the Virginia Tech Hokies on Wednesday. The victory gave the Hurricanes a little distance between themselves and the Duke Blue Devils at the top of the ACC standings.

The Hokies couldn't find the bottom of the twine from the field, hitting just 39.6 percent of their shots and a less-than-stellar 18.8 percent from beyond the three-point arc. Miami shot comparatively well, at 50 percent from the field and 38.1 percent from downtown.
Two Hurricanes breached the 20-point barrier, with Shane Larkin topping all scorers with 22 points and Kenny Kadji knocking down 20 of his own. Trey McKinney Jones joined them in double figures with 11 points. Erick Green led the way for the Hokies with 16 points, while C.J. Barksdale and Robert Brown each dropped a dozen on the evening.
