Vitale was cut as he was preparing to call tonight's Michigan vs. Ohio State game.
ESPN broadcaster Dick Vitale suffered a cut on his face after walking into a plate-glass window, according to multiple reports from the Crisler Center in Ann Arbor, Mich. Vitale was attended to by the medical staff and is believed to be fine after texting his employers shortly after the incident.
It is not believed that the cut is deep, although it may be noticeable for a couple of weeks. After receiving treatment, "Dickie V," as he is known around the college basketball world, returned to the floor and began interacting with fans as he always does. Here is a photo Ace Anbender tweeted out moments ago.
Vitale, who is 73 years old, was preparing to call Tuesday night's showdown between Ohio State and Michigan when the accident occurred. Oddly enough, Vitale tweeted out this picture just moments before he walked into the glass window.
Tipoff between Michigan and Ohio State is set for 9 p.m. ET. The game will be broadcast on ESPN.
