Marquette put on a clinic in the paint on Al McGuire Day in Milwaukee, resulting in an 11-point victory over DePaul.
The No. 24 Marquette Golden Eagles defeated the DePaul Blue Demons, 89-78, in what was mostly a closely-contested Big East game on Saturday in Milwaukee, Wisc.

On Al McGuire Day at the Bradley Center, the score differential stayed within single digits until Jamil Wilson hit a three-pointer with 2:31 remaining to give the Golden Eagles an 85-73 lead. DePaul stayed in the game with hot three-point shooting, but Marquette dominated the paint for the majority of the game, leading to a 56.4 percent effort from the field.
Vander Blue scored 18 points to lead the Golden Eagles (17-5, 8-2 Big East), while Junior Cadougan added 17 on 8-of-13 shooting.
Brandon Young finished with 21 points and six assists to pace the Blue Demons (10-13, 1-9 Big East) in the losing effort.
