The Big West Tournament gets underway on Thursday as Long Beach State looks to defend its crown and return to the the NCAA Tournament. Eight teams qualified for the tournament with the bottom two teams, Cal State Northridge, and UC Riverside failing to make the playoffs.
The 49ers earned the top-seed by going 14-4 in conference play, but lost three of their final four games in the regular season including a loss to two-seed Pacific on Saturday. In the current bracket projections on SB Nation, Long Beach State is listed a 15 seed as the winner of the Big West.
The Big West Tournament takes place at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif. from March 14-16. A tournament bracket is available here. The full schedule is below, all times Eastern.
