Stephen F. Austin won the regular season crown in the Southland Conference with a win over Texas A&M-CC on Saturday. The Lumberjacks finished 16-2 in the conference and 26-3 overall and will receive a double-bye to the semifinals in the conference tournament, which begins on Wednesday.
Northwestern State finished second at 15-3 in the conference and also received a double-bye. They split their regular season series with Stephen F. Austin with both teams winning their home games.
Oral Roberts (18-13, 13-5) and Southeastern Louisiana (12-17, 10-8) each receive a bye into the quarterfinals in the conference tournament. Texas A&M-CC was ineligible for postseason play anyways due to APR penalties. Teams seeded 5-8 will play in the first round of the tournament on Wednesday.
