Conference USA basketball standings 2013: Memphis finishes in 1st place

The Tigers ran through conference play with a perfect record, winning the regular season title.

Conference USA regular season play wrapped up this weekend, and there was never a doubt about which team would take home the regular season title -- Memphis finished the season with a perfect 16-0 conference record, and it has only lost one game overall since mid-December. The Tigers' success in league play makes them the favorites to win the conference tournament, which gets underway on Wednesday.

The Tigers won't have to worry about playing their way into the NCAA tournament -- they are in the RPI top 20, which makes them a lock. But the rest of the league has work to do, and only Southern Mississippi appears to have a resume that could result in an at-large bid.

Here's a look at the final regular season standings:

C-USA W-L Overall W-L
Memphis 16-0 27-4
Southern Miss 12-4 23-8
UTEP 10-6 17-13
UCF 9-7 20-11
East Carolina 9-7 18-11
Tulsa 8-8 16-14
Houston 7-9 18-11
UAB 7-9 15-16
Tulane 6-10 18-13
Marshall 6-10 13-18
SMU 5-11 15-16
Rice 1-15 5-25
