Jayne Kamin-Oncea-USA TODAY Sports

Southern and Prairie View A&M will play for the SWAC championship on Saturday.

The 2013 Southwest Athletic Conference tournament wrapped up its semifinal round on Friday, and the championship matchup is now set. Saturday's game will determine who gets the automatic NCAA bid out of this conference. But first, let's recap the semifinal action from Friday.

No. 4 Prairie View A&M Panthers 88, No. 2 Jackson State Tigers 75

Prairie View pulled off the upset thanks to Jourdan DeMuynck, who went off for 37 points. Montrael Scott chipped in 20 points and Carl Blair racked up a double-double (12 points, 10 assists). The 15-18 Panthers have a chance to join Liberty as the only teams to make the NCAA tournament with a losing record. They face Southern on Saturday.

No. 1 Southern Jaguars 72, No. 6 Alabama A&M Bulldogs 59

Derick Beltran scored 19 points and Javan Mitchell grabbed eight rebounds as the Jaguars buried the Bulldogs early. Southern made 10 of 20 three-pointers and forced 16 turnovers from Alabama A&M. The overwhelming favorite to win the tournament didn't have much trouble in this matchup. They will play Prairie View A&M for the championship on Saturday.
