UNC vs. Florida State results: Tar Heels cruise past Seminoles

The North Carolina Tar Heels had no issues in the ACC tournament quarterfinals against the Florida State Seminoles.

The No. 3 North Carolina Tar Heels will advance to the ACC tournament semifinals after dispatching the No. 6 Florida St. Seminoles, 83-62.

Florida State struggled to take care of the ball against North Carolina, as the Seminoles turned the ball over 17 times. The Tar Heels also had more success from distance, as they sank 10 three-point shots compared with only three for the Seminoles.

P.J Hairston led all scores with 21 points, shooting 7-11 from the field and forcing two steals as well. Reggie Bullock scored 17 points and grabbed nine rebounds for North Carolina, while James Michael McAdoo added 12 points. Michael Snaer played well for Florida State, scoring 20 points, grabbing seven rebounds and dishing out five assists.

North Carolina will face the No. 7 Maryland Terrapins in the semis, who pulled of an upset against the No. 2 Duke Blue Devils earlier on Friday.
