The craziest, most unpredictable three weeks in basketball is upon us, with the first round of the 2013 NCAA Tournament tipping off on Tuesday in Dayton, Ohio.
In Tuesday's First Four games, the North Carolina A&T Aggies and Liberty Flames start the action, fighting for the right to play top overall seed Louisville. That game tips off at 6:40 p.m. ET between the teams with the worst records in the field. North Carolina A&T (19-16, 8-8 MEAC) won the MEAC Tournament and Liberty (15-20, 6-10 Big South) is the only team with a losing record to qualify for the tournament.
Following that game at approximately 9:10 p.m. ET, the Middle Tennessee St. Blue Raiders take on the St. Mary's Gaels with the winner advancing as an 11 seed to face Memphis. Middle Tennessee St. (28-5, 19-1 Sun Belt) dominated the regular season in conference, but were upset for the second straight year in the Sun Belt Tournament. This time the selection committee rewarded them with one of the final at-large bids. St. Mary's (27-6, 14-2 WCC) handled everyone in the West Coast Conference all season with the exception of Gonzaga.
If you're not in Dayton, here's how you can keep up with all the action as the tournament gets underway:
