One of the most intriguing matchups in this year's NCAA Tournament South Region comes in the No. 7 vs. No. 10 game between San Diego State and Oklahoma. The pair of teams will tip off Friday night at 9:20 p.m. ET in Philadelphia.
And when they do meet up, the key to the entire game could be San Diego State guard Jamaal Franklin. The junior does it all for the Aztecs, leading the team in points (16.7), rebounds (9.5), assists (3.2) and steals (1.5). Senior guard Chase Tapley also averages 13.5 points per game for San Diego State, which finished the regular season at 22-10 overall and 9-7 in the Mountain West.
For Oklahoma (20-11, 11-7 in the Big XII), their success is contingent on strong play from a pair of seniors, forward Romero Osby and guard Steven Pledger. Osby finished the 2013 regular season averaging 15.8 points and seven rebounds, while Pledger was effective from deep, averaging 11.8 points and over two three-pointers made per game.
