1. There was a shooting at Florida State involving track athletes.

2. Florida State is competing with Kentucky, among others, for the services of No. 1 basketball recruit Andrew Wiggins.

Thus, one Kentucky fan took the opportunity to go full Jim Mora during a breaking story of a shooting and make sure Wiggins saw the FSU news by retweeting it directly at him:

Not only is using Twitter to (air quotes) recruit for your school both beneath adulthood and a waste of time, as is reiterated like every day on college sports Twitter, here it's supplemented with violence as a recruiting tool. Delightful behavior, followed by a prolonged missing-the-point defense against the many people offended:
