Women's NCAA Tournament 2013 schedule and bracket: UConn highlights first day of tourney

Geno Auriemma's UConn squad is the only No. 1 seed in play on Saturday, the first day of the women's tournament, which features just about a whole day of action.

The women's NCAA Tournament begins Saturday with 16 first-round games -- no First Four taking "first round" honors on the women's side -- tipping off a little bit before noon and going all the way until nighttime, getting half of the tournament's teams in play on the first day.

The biggest team in action Saturday is No. 1-seeded UConn, which looks to start another title run under Geno Auriemma after losing in the Final Four last year. The Huskies start their play close to home in Bridgeport, Conn., against No. 16 Idaho.

Here's a look at Saturday's 16 games. All will be broadcast on ESPN2, which will be providing wraparound coverage, as well as streaming on WatchESPN. All times listed are Eastern:

No. 12 Marist vs. No. 5 Michigan State, 1:30 p.m.

No. 14 Stetson vs. No. 3 UCLA, 1:30 p.m.

No. 15 Oral Roberts vs. No. 2 Tennessee, 1:30 p.m.

No. 14 Wichita State vs. No. 3 Texas A&M, 4:05 p.m.

No. 13 South Dakota State vs. No. 4 South Carolina, 4:10 p.m.

No. 12 Gonzaga vs. No. 5 Iowa State, 4:15 p.m.

No. 15 Fresno State vs. No. 2 California, 4:20 p.m.

No. 10 South Florida vs. No. 7 Texas Tech, 6:30 p.m.

No. 11 Chattanooga vs. No. 6 Nebraska, 6:30 p.m.

No. 13 Montana vs. No. 4 Georgia, 6:30 p.m.

No. 12 Kansas vs. No. 5 Colorado, 6:30 p.m.
