The 2013 NCAA Women's Tournament will resume on Tuesday night, with eight more teams looking to punch their tickets into this weekend's Sweet 16. Eight other teams, including the No. 1 seed Connecticut Huskies, advanced to the Sweet 16 on Monday.
Three more No. 1 seeds will look to advance on Tuesday, including the Baylor Lady Bears, which will host No. 8 seed Florida State in a 9:35 p.m. ET tipoff. The Bears will rely heavily on All-American Brittney Griner, who is coming off a dominant 33-point, 10-rebound, six-block effort in Baylor's tournament opening victory against Prairie View A&M.
Fellow No. 1 seed Notre Dame will also take the court on Tuesday night, in a road game against the No. 9 seed Iowa Hawkeyes. Notre Dame will try to notch its 33rd win of the season on Tuesday behind Skylar Diggins, who averaged 17.1 points per game this season.
The final No. 1 seed to take the court on Tuesday will be Stanford, which faces No. 8 Michigan in the Spokane regional. The winner here will match up with No. 4 seed Georgia next, a club which advanced to the Sweet 16 on Monday with a 65-60 victory over Iowa State.
