The 2013 Colonial Athletic Association Tournament is set to hit the Richmond Coliseum from March 9-11 in Richmond, Va., For a conference that has sent two teams to the Final Four the past few years -- George Mason in 2006 and VCU in 2011 -- all eyes will be on the CAA this weekend as seven teams battle for the automatic bid up for grabs.
There are 11 teams in the conference, but just seven will be allowed to participate in postseason play. Georgia State and Old Dominion are barred from playing after announcing their intentions to transfer from the conference, while Towson and UNC-Wilmington are currently being penalized by the NCAA for academic progress issues.
Perhaps the most interesting matchup of the tournament will come in the semifinals. No. 1 seed Northeastern will be rewarded for winning the regular season title by facing either George Mason or Drexel, which are the two best teams in the conference, according to Kenpom's efficiency rankings. This has the potential of being a great game, with the winner looking like the favorite to win the conference championship the next day.

The quarterfinals will be televised live by Comcast SportsNet. Fans can find the semifinals and championship game on NBC Sports Network. All times Eastern.
