With time dwindling and Stanford looking to tie, Arizona coach Sean Miller decided to foul Stanford before a shot could be attempted. A Stanford heave just missed at the buzzer, securing a 21-0 start for Arizona.
Johnson was the driving force for Arizona, scoring 16 points. The Wildcats' leading scorer also sank the game-deciding three-pointer in the final minute, his third on the day.
