Memphis used a big three-point play late in its game at Louisville to earn a hard-fought road win.

The Tigers looked like they were on their way to losing consecutive games for the first time in more than two years when Montrezl Harrell, who scored 12 of his 14 points in the second half, hit a jumper at the 5:27 mark to give Louisville its largest lead of the game at 61-55. However, Memphis completed an 9-3 run to work its way to a 64-64 tie with 3:13 remaining when Luke Hancock turned the ball over to set up an impressive fast-break dunk by Geron Johnson, who was fouled on his way up and made the ensuing free throw.

Joe Jackson and Shaq Goodwin led the Tigers (11-3) with 15 points apiece and Johnson added 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Hancock paced the Cardinals (13-3) with 20 points. Russ Smith added 19 points, 14 of which came in the second half.
