There have been a few days to wind down after a wild first weekend of the NCAA Tournament, but now it's time for the craziness to begin again. The Sweet 16 gets underway Thursday, with two of the three remaining top seeds in action. The night tips off with a game between two double-digit seeds in the South region at 7:15 p.m. ET.
Those aforementioned double-digit seeds are the No. 10 Stanford Cardinal and No. 11 Dayton Flyers. Both teams beat major powers to reach the Sweet 16, with the Cardinal knocking off the second-seeded Kansas Jayhawks and the Flyers stunning the third-seeded Syracuse Orange.
The next game on the docket features the sixth-seeded Baylor Bears and the second-seeded Wisconsin Badgers out in Anaheim. The Badgers won't have the precious home-court advantage they enjoyed in Milwaukee that was crucial in a win over the seventh-seeded Oregon Ducks. They'll have to be on top of their game to take down the Bears, who shut down Doug McDermott and the third-seeded Creighton Bluejays in the third round.
The final two games feature No. 1 seeds. First in the South, the Florida Gators will take on the fourth-seeded UCLA Bruins. The game will be an interesting contrast of styles, as the Gators are a more defensive-minded team while the Bruins have been known to fill up to hoop. Both teams showed off their strengths in the third round, with Florida locking down the ninth-seeded Pittsburgh Panthers and UCLA drubbing the 12th-seeded Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks.
The night wraps up in the West region, with two teams from the region doing battle. The top-seeded Arizona Wildcats cruised to the Sweet 16 with an easy win over the eighth-seeded Gonzaga Bulldogs. They Wildcats will tip off against the fourth-seeded San Diego State Aztecs. The Aztecs destroyed the No. 12 North Dakota State Bison in the third round.
