Nevada played Boise State tonight. It was a good game between two teams in the middle of the pack of the Mountain West Conference. It went to double-OT. Nevada won 83-81.
They could've played the best game of the season, and we still wouldn't particularly care. Because it would be overshadowed by this MONSTER dunk by Nevada's Deonte Burton.
OH. WHOA. YOOO. YOOOO. HERE, I'M GONNA POST THE EMBED ONE MORE TIME SO WE CAN WATCH IT AGAIN
1. He takes off from decently far away.
2. He just powers over this dude.
Meet Boise State's Ryan Watkins. He's 6'9, 227, and averages a double-double. Out of the thousands of Division I basketball players in the country, nobody rebounds a higher percentage of their team's offensive rebounds. That's incredible. And he's No. 28 in defensive rebounds, too. He's a great player.
He jumped up and tried to stop Deonte Burton. It did not work.
HE DUNKED THAT.
3. The cock-back.
4. The power.
Dude dunks with so much force I can't possibly capture a still, everything is moving so fast. And he dunks so hard that he nearly fails to land it.
You don't see dunks this preposterous in games. Savor it. Run it back. Because, dear goodness, he killed that man.
