West Virginia beat Maryland to advance to the Sweet 16 on Sunday. Coach Bob Huggins' two daughters were in Columbus, Ohio for the game and spent the trip insulting Terrapin guard Dez Wells in person and online.

Wells was expelled from Xavier in 2012 after an allegation of sexual assault. The charges against Wells were dropped and he later sued the school over the expulsion, settling for undisclosed terms.
