Long Workout Spotlights Shooters

The Nets had their biggest one day oworkout Tuesday with 12 prospects, mostly wing players, showing off, six in the morning, six in the afternoon. A number of them are rumored to be Nets' favorites, shooters Jon Diebler and David Lighty of Ohio State; Bojan Bogdanovic from Croatia and Andrew Goudelock of Charleston.

Nets Workouts Continue Tuesday With Second Round Prospects

The Nets will have 12 prospects in Tuesday, most likely to be high second rounders and a few of them players who've attracted the team's interest. Most of those coming in are guards or small forwards.

Nets Workouts Begin Thursday

The Nets individual workouts will begin Thursday at the PNY Center. The team has not announced who will be attending but reports from agents indicate that among the first players to show their wares will be Marshon Brooks, the 6'5" shooting guard from Providence, and Malcolm Lee, the 6'5" point guard from UCLA.

Today's featured workout will be the Detroit Pistons and the six point guards -- Kalin Lucas, Malcolm Lee, Andrew Goudelock, Cory Joseph, Norris Cole and Andrew Albicy -- they have decided to audition as possible selections with one of their two second round picks (33 and 52) next month.

Individual Workouts Set to Begin

The Nets brain trust will be in Minnesota Monday and Tuesday watching group workouts. Although the selection isn't as broad or as deep as it was at the Chicago Pre-Draft Combine, the workout will give the Nets second looks at some of the talent that may be available at #27 and #36 (unless they move up in the first and add another pick in the second).

The Nets are talking to draft prospects and agents about scheduling individual workouts but the first of those aren't expected til around Memorial Day or beyond. With the Nets group workout done, the Chicago Pre-Draft Combine is next up, starting a week from Tuesday and running till May 22.
