Recruiting: Truly A Neverending Story
Recruiting never ends. It is, in fact, what one might call a "neverending" story. And with that important phrase, this important bit of news regarding a promising 2013 prospect.
If you do not get this joke, we feel so sorry for you and your loveless hellscape of a childhood. Call your parents. Tell them they were bad at their jobs.

LaQuvionte Gonzalez: Just A Really Great Name
Four-star Texas football recruit LaQuvionte Gonzalez committed to Texas A&M a while back, but you have to like contender Clemson's chances of making a successful run at him. His name is LaQuvionte, and Clemson is very good at acquiring players with excellent names. Get used to reading his name, too, since it very well could be in headlines for quite a while.

Perhaps You're Also Familiar With My Work In 'Batman & Robin'
As just about the only involved coach to have a significantly loftier job now than he did during the setting of the movie, of course Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze shares the gospel of himself via The Blind Side:

Is Recruit Su'a Cravens A Lock For USC?
Su'a Cravens is one the top safety recruits in the country. Out of Murrieta (Calif.) Vista Murrieta High School, Cravens stands 6'1" and weighs in at 210 pounds. He is a consensus five-star recruit. For more on his abilities, check out this great scouting report.
Cravens will be making his college choice on June 6, because it is his mom's birthday:

Laremy Tunsil Names A Top Four... Or Five
First, a little background. Laremy Tunsil is the top offensive tackle recruit in the country. The 6'6", 270-pound Lake City (Fla.) Columbia High star is very athletic and agile, to go with his great frame. He's a deserving five-star recruit and holds that ranking from the four major services.
He's also going to be a national signing day decision. That means Tunsil won't make his choice for another nine months. Yet in this era of recruits deciding earlier and earlier, that doesn't stop fans from craving constant updates on the big tackle.
My sources indicate that Tunsil is very much still in the information gathering stage. He will take visits, watch to see how the seasons play out for the teams in which he is interested, monitor coaching changes, etc. Basically, he's going through what the recruiting process was for everyone because some recruits decided to commit before they even turned 17.
So it's awkward, then, when reporters ask Tunsil if he has a "top number" of schools, as last Wednesday night Tunsil apparently listed both a top four and a top five:

Evaluating The ESPNU 150, Rivals 250 And So Forth
If you haven't yet read MGoBlog's breakdown of the four major recruiting services' top-recruit lists now that the ESPNU 150 is out, please do so immediately. Discover which services value which conferences over others, which are strongest at specific positions and which suffer from apparent geographic bias, according to one metric at least.

Stacy Coley's Reddit AMA: Like Bacon For Recruitniks
Four-star Overland Park, FL wide receiver Stacy Coley did a Reddit AMA on Wednesday. It went much better than Woody Harrelson's did, even though participants spent most of their time trying to figure out how to interview the young man without breaking NCAA rules, especially seeing as each Redditor's name is adorned with a school logo.
My favorite part was when he mentioned competing against five-star Miami Hurricanes freshman Tracy Howard (the Canes' most prized 2012 signee) in response to a question about how his game will translate to the college level:
