Kelvin York, a talented running back out of Fullterton (Ca.) Community College, has committed to the Utah Utes, per Jake Worthen. York was a USC commitment, but decommitted recently. He is originally of Geismar (La.) Dutchtown High School.
York held offers from USC, Miami, Mississippi, and BYU. He stands 5'11" and weighs 225 pounds. York is a bigger back, and does a nice job of keeping his legs churning. York appears to run in a zone and man scheme for Fullerton. That should help him in the Pac 12. His speed is decent for a back of his size, but he likely won't outrun a lot of defenders at the next level. His tape doesn't show him catching the ball much.
There aren't a lot of great big backs in the PAC 12, and York could be a good one for the Utes.
