Avery Young will announce his college choice on National Signing Day at 2 p.m., live on ESPN from the Palm Beach Gardens High School Auditorium.
Offensive tackle Avery Young of Palm Beach Gardens High School has narrowed his destination school down to four final options: the Auburn Tigers, the Miami Hurricanes, the Georgia Bulldogs and the Florida Gators.
Young is a consensus four-star prospect, who Rivals ranks as the ninth-best offensive tackle in the class of 2012.
Young's high school coach told Matt Porter of the Palm Beach Post that he has a "pretty good idea" of where Young will end up.
Porter also mentioned on Twitter that despite the fact that Young's school is located Miami, his head coach has never met Canes coach Al Golden. As for Young himself, he met with Golden and members of the Miami staff personally Wednesday as part of a final push to keep the hometown star there. Miami was apparently determined to be the last program to talk to the 6-foot-6, 290-pound offensive tackle.

As the 2012 recruiting cycle wraps up, offensive tackle Avery Young becomes more in demand. And though he's a developmental prospect, the 6'6", 270 pound offensive lineman from Palm Beach (Fla.) Gardens holds offers from much of the SEC. And he's narrowed his list to Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Florida and Miami.
Four of those schools are expected to visit this weekend, according to Gardens' head coach Chris Davis, via Twitter:
Davis is a consensus four-star recruit and a two-time NFL legacy, via his father, Willie Jones, and his brother, Willie Jones Jr. He will need a red-shirt year and likely another developmental year after that, but he does have considerable potential once he develops. There are some questions as to his ability to add significant weight, but many of the top programs in the SEC don't seem to see it as much of a problem.
It's no secret that Avery Young has narrowed his list to the Auburn Tigers and Georgia Bulldogs. The talented tackle recruit out of Palm Beach Gardens (Fla.) has visited both schools multiple times. Now all that's left is to make a decision.
Update: Young's father told Jeff Greer of the Palm Beach Post that Miami and Alabama are still very much in it for Young. While Bama likely won't have room, Miami certainly would. Young plans to visit Miami.
Young hasn't exactly been tipping his hand of late, but his teammate, Alex Clark, might have blown his cover:
Transcribed for those who cannot watch:
Interviewer: Everyone right now wants to know where Avery Young is going to go. Where do you think Avery Young's going?
Clark: Um, I think he might slip to Georgia (smiles), (laughs).
Interviewer: Boy, what's your reasoning behind that? Do you have any guesses, err?
Clark: I just, when he came back and talked to me, he just loved the facilities and everything about it, so I think Georgia might fit him.
It might be that Georgia is fresh on his mind, as Athens was Young's most recent visit. Or maybe that Auburn still has not hired an offensive coordinator.
The only certainty in recruiting is that there are no certainties. And being that Young has not named anyone a leader in recent interviews, it's too speculative to say Georgia is leading for his services.
Young is rated a four-star prospect by 247 Sports.

Avery Young Commits To Auburn Over Georgia, Florida | Video
Avery Young, one of the top offensive tackle prospects in the country, has committed to the Auburn Tigers Over The Georgia Bulldogs and the Florida Gators. Though he's a developmental prospect, the 6'6", 280 pound offensive lineman from Palm Beach (Fla.) Gardens holds offers from much of the SEC. And he's narrowed his list to Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Florida and Miami. He received plenty of in-home visits, and never did publicly narrow down his list to less than five schools. The major services rate Young as a four-star prospect.
What makes Young so attractive? It could be his NFL bloodlines, as both his father and brother played in the NFL. Or it could be his excellent athleticism. Young does have a big of a narrow frame, but is likely still growing. He should be an excellent pass protector, and if he adds the necessary bulk, could be a very solid run blocker as well for the Tigers.
Young had a message for other Auburn recruits:
