SB Nation College Football National Signing Day 2012

Jordan Diamond Down To Four Schools, Will Announce February 3

Jordan Diamond is a talented offensive tackle recruit out of Chicago. He'll announce his college decision on February 3.

Jan 25, 2012 - Jordan Diamond is one of the top offensive line recruits in the country. Out of Chicago Simeon High School, the 6'6", 290 pound Diamond holds offers from more than 20 BCS programs. He's rated a four-star prospect by 247 Sports, Yahoo! and ESPN, while Scout had Diamond as a five-star. Diamond is currently mulling offers from Arkansas, Auburn, Michigan and Wisconsin. He previously visited Auburn, Michigan and Ohio State. Last weekend, he visited Arkansas, and SB Nation Chicago found some excellent information on his visit to see the Razorbacks:

According to a recent HawgSports.com interview, Diamond's visit to the university last Friday went rather well:

"I got a very strong and positive vibe about the whole campus itself, and [the recruits] really liked it," [fellow recruit Cordale Boyd] said. "Especially Jordan, he said he really liked it. And DGB, he liked it too. We have a good chance of nabbing both of them I would think. I hope they come on and Call the Hogs."

With February and the 2012 National Signing day just around the corner, Diamond is likely to announce a commitment rather soon.

It's always important to recruit the mother, as well, and Diamond's mother had favorable things to say about Arkansas to Richard Davenport of Arkansas Preps:

"We got to the pep rally and they had signs with Jordan’s picture and then when we got to the Catfish Hole everybody was clapping and cheering him on," Angela said. "I didn’t know he had that many fans down here. The Catfish Hole was off the chain. There were lots of people. I guess they drove in from everywhere to be there."

Diamond was thought to be considering Ohio State as well, but insiders say that is no longer the case. He is scheduled to visit Wisconsin this weekend.

According to ESPN, Diamond won't sign on National Signing Day (February 1), and instead will wait until February 3 to put pen to paper.
