Where Does Michigan Turn After Losing Out On Armani Reeves?

To answer that question, turn to SB Nation Detroit:

After missing out on Garnett and Reeves this week, Michigan will hope to add a combination of offensive guard Alex Kozan, offensive tackle Jordan Diamond, offensive tackle Chris Muller and perhaps an off-the-radar prospect or two in the next week to close out its 2012 recruiting class

Armani Reeves Commits To Ohio State Over Michigan

Armani Reeves, one of the better cornerback recruits in the 2012 cycle, has committed to Ohio State.

Reeves, from West Roxbury (Ma.) Catholic Memorial High School, was once a Penn State commitment. The sex abuse scandal changed that, and Reeves decommitted, opening things back up.

Reeves holds offers from Arizona, Arkansas, Boston College, Connecticut, Iowa, Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State, Missouri, North Carolina, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, Rutgers, Stanford, Utah, Virginia, and Wake Forest.

Reeves announced his decision via Twitter:

Both schools visited the 5'9", 185 pound cornerback recently, as SB Nation Detroit reported:

Michigan defensive coordinator Greg Mattison visited Reeves on January 24. On the night of January 23, Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer and some of his assistants visited Reeves.

Teammate Camren Williams, a Buckeye commitment, tried to sway Reeves to the Buckeyes. It appears to have worked.

Interestingly, Reeves is from Leeds, Al., and is the cousin of Charles Barkley. Reeves is a very quick corner who should excel in playing off-man coverage. He's also a potential contributor in the return game. Most recruiting services rate Reeves as a four-star player.

Is Former Penn State Pledge Armani Reeves Favoring Michigan Over Ohio State?

Armani Reeves is one of the better cornerback recruits in the 2012 cycle. Out of West Roxbury (Ma.) Catholic Memorial High School, Reeves was once a Penn State commitment. The sex abuse scandal changed that, and Reeves decommitted, opening things back up. Reeves holds offers from Arizona, Arkansas, Boston College, Connecticut, Iowa, Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State, Missouri, North Carolina, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, Rutgers, Stanford, Utah, Virginia and Wake Forest. But he seems to be favoring Michigan and Ohio State.

And the Wolverines seem to be of particular interest to the 5'10", 185-pound cornerback, as SB Nation Detroit reports:

Michigan defensive coordinator Greg Mattison visited Reeves on Tuesday night. On Monday night, Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer and some of his assistants visited Reeves. These visits followed a visit from Michigan head coach Brady Hoke over the weekend.

Of course, Ohio State has an advantage in teammate Camren Williams, a Buckeye commitment.

Interestingly, Reeves is from Leeds, Al., and is the cousin of Charles Barkley.
