Jan 29, 2012 - Devin Fuller, an elite athlete from Westwood, New Jersey has committed to the UCLA Bruins. Starring for Northern Valley Regional High, Fuller excels at both quarterback and defensive back. More than 30 schools saw fit to offer Fuller, and he heavily considered Nebraska, Rutgers, UCLA and Arizona.
It's unclear what position Fuller will play in college. As a quarterback, he's not bad. Obviously mobile, the 6'1" 190 pound Fuller has a quick release and would be fit for the spread-option offense. If UCLA insists on running a strict pro-style system, look for Fuller to play defensive back. Despite being hampered by a hamstring injury, Fuller shows tremendous quickness and explosiveness. And he's a heady player, meaning a switch to defensive back wouldn't be any trouble for the talented New Jersey athlete.
If he plays safety, you should also expect him to get some reps on special teams in the return game. He's certainly skilled at making tacklers miss.
