On the one hand, going to Oxford Square to announce a commitment to the LSU Tigers over the Mississippi Rebels and Mississippi St. Bulldogs seems like a bad idea. On the other hand, quarterback Jeremy Liggins weighs 270 pounds, and can probably thus announce whatever he likes from pretty much anywhere.
Though he'd reportedly narrowed it down to the two Mississippi schools, 247 Sports' Ole Miss site is reporting he's headed to Baton Rouge. Here's a link, which you can read if you're a member, but here's the gist via the Advocate's Scott Rabalais:
@ScottRabalais 24/7 Sports site Rebels247 reporting that Oxford (Miss.) QB Jeremy Liggins saying he will commit to
#LSU.
Adding the three-star prospect would boost a LSU class that has dipped below its usual expectations, along with assuaging at least some of the concerns that arose after five-star quarterback Gunner Kiel flipped to Notre Dame.
