LSU loses a top junior linebacker recruit.

Kain Daub, one of the top linebacker recruits in the class of 2014, has backed off his commitment to the LSU Tigers. Daub had originally committed to the Tigers on July 14.

Out of Jacksonville (Fla.) Sandalwood High School, Daub has excellent size at 6'3, 227 and the athleticism to match.

Already holding offers from Alabama, LSU, Florida, Florida State, Miami and South Carolina, Daub is one of the most sought-after prospects in the country for the 2014 cycle. He has the potential to be a two- or three-year starter on even the best of college defenses. He projects as a four- or five-star recruit.

Note: Daub is the teammate of Sandalwood defensive end Demarcus Walker, an Alabama commitment.
