According to multiple reports on Twitter that emerged just minutes after 2013 Dallas (TX) Kimball defensive tackle Justin Manning committed to Texas A&M, the Aggies received more good news with the revelation that 2014 La Porte (TX) linebacker Hoza Scott will make his college decision on Wednesday.
Why is that good news for A&M and not the handful of top programs also pursuing a player who is considered a four-star prospect and one of the top players in the state in his class?
Well, Scott has had the Aggies at the top of his list for some time, going as far as to say that his commitment to A&M is "pretty much A&M, done deal."
After landing prep star JaQuay Williams earlier in the week, shocking Georgia fans who thought he was headed to become a Bulldog, the commitment of Manning and an expected pledge from Sealy (TX) athlete Ricky Seals-Jones on Monday would set up an incredibly 10-day run for the Aggies on the recruiting trail.
And that doesn't even count 2014 Lancaster (TX) safety Nick Harvey, who pledged back at the end of November.
Oh, yeah, and Aggie quarterback Johnny Manziel in all likelihood will win the Heisman on Saturday night, no small factor in all of this.
Heady times in Aggieland, indeed.
But back to Scott for a second -- in all likelihood, he will cap an insane three-week stretch for the Aggies by committing to Texas A&M, though it is not yet clear when and where his announcement will take place.
