For all its success on the field over the past two years, Arkansas really should be recruiting better. The Razorbacks have 21 commitments, and just five of them are consensus blue-chip recruits (rated as four-stars or better). If Arkansas hopes to beat SEC West behemoths Alabama and LSU, and stay ahead of Auburn, it will need to bring in better players with greater frequency.
The star of Arkansas' class might not be a Razorback commitment for much longer, as JUCO receiver Courtney Gardner is likely to flip to the Oklahoma Sooners after a recent visit to Norman went quite well.
Arkansas is bringing in five defensive ends, but none of them stand out as being elite recruits. They are good, but again, if Arkansas wants to win the SEC West, it needs elite recruits, not simply good ones. The best of the bunch is probably Austin Flynn, a JUCO defensive end out of California.
One elite recruit that Arkansas, and every team in the country, would like to land is Dorial Green-Beckham, an amazing receiver recruit out of nearby Missouri. As of late, he's been expected to remain in-state. You can read all about Green-Beckham here.
