Georgia has again secured a top recruiting class, as Mark Richt's approach of stability and family continues to play well with recruits. Specifically, the Dawgs are loading up on the lines, as Georgia is bringing in five defensive linemen and three offensive linemen. And they're not just bringing in numbers. The Dawgs are bringing in stars.
Georgia secured a commitment early on from five-star offensive tackle John Theus, out of Jacksonville (Fla.) Bolles after offering his brother a scholarship for long-snapping in the previous class. The headliners of the defensive line class include four-star defensive end Jordan Jenkins of Hamilton (Ga.) Harris County, and John Atkins, the massive four-star defensive tackle out of Thomson (Ga.) High. The 6'4", 300-pound Atkins is just beginning to realize his potential.
The Dawgs also have commitments from a pair of top North Carolina running backs in Keith Marshall and Todd Gurley.
Georgia is still in hot pursuit of JUCO receiver Cordarrelle Patterson, Palm Beach offensive tackle Avery Young and Valdosta (Ga.) Lowndes linebacker Josh Harvey-Clemons, among others.
