The California Golden Bears at one point had a great class of recruits that were committed to the school for 2012. In the past month or so, they've seen many of those commits switch their pledges to other schools, many of the new destinations being Pac-12 rivals. On Tuesday night, just hours before National Signing Day, they appear to have lost another.
Justin Hopkins, a staff writer for 247 Sports, relayed the information on Tuesday night that wide receiver Kenny Walker has switched his pledge from Cal to the UCLA Bruins.
Walker is a three-star prospect from Richmond, CA. He ranks 60th out of all California prospects and in the 2012 class he ranks No. 71 out of all wide receivers in the Rivals rankings.
Walker isn't an elite prospect, but it's certainly bad news indeed that the Golden Bears recruiting class seems to be falling apart leading into National Signing Day.
